you get where you want to go. We offer a variety of
private instrumental and vocal lessons, and Summer
group lessons as well.

SUMMER CLASSES 2009:


Keyboard: This keyboard class is for the beginner who's always wanted to try piano. This is a week long course that will give you a taste of what piano lessons are like. All ages welcome. Schedule: August 24-Aug 28 1:30-3pm Teacher: Naina Wadhwa Cost: $95

Preschool Music:This is a class that allows your youngster to experience music in a fun and encouraging environment. Geared towards kids ages 3-5, there will be singing, games, rhythm exercises and instruments to have fun with. Schedule: Tues, Wed, Thurs June 30-Aug 20 10am-12pm Teachers: Katie Voss, Naina Wahdwa Cost: $400 for eight weeks or $25 per drop in session

Pop Choir: No traditional about it! Headed up by West Side's one-and-only Erin Rubin, this choir is for boys and girls who want to sing something real fun. This is a great chance for aspiring singers to get some experience working with their peers and accomplishing something together. Schedule: Every Saturday July 11-August 22th from 3pm-5pm

Girl Band:Girl Band returns! If you missed last year, DON'T miss Girl Band this summer! This class is designed for the experienced girl rocker who likes a challenge. This 5 day class includes playing several instruments, working with peers, rehearsing songs, and preparing for a real rock show at the end of the week. SO FUN! Prerequisite: 1 year of study. Limit 5 per class. Schedule: June 22-26 from 10am-1pm Performance: 7pm on Sunday, June 28th Teachers: Katie Voss and Erin Rubin Cost: $300 Adult

Band/Jam Night: Hey parents, who says the kids get to hog all the fun? Adult jam gives mom or dad a chance to play music with their peers. Whether just starting out or just getting back into the swing of it, Adult jam is a great way to have fun learning music. Come on, you know you want to hit those drums! Don't have an instrument--no problem--we have some you can use. Schedule: Friday nights from 8-10 July 10th-Aug28 Teachers: Jon Wooster, Erin Rubin, Katie Voss, Matt Benham (rotating) Cost: $300 full eight weeks or $40 per drop in session

Jazz Combo: Hey teens, ever want to play jazz with some fellow players? Here's your chance! This class is designed to take your jazz students and put them in a live setting with rhythm section and all. A valuable experience indeed. Schedule: Aug 24-28 from 10am-12pm Performance: Aug 30 at 7 pm Teachers: Aaron Jenkins Cost: $200

Beginning Rock Band: Do you wanna rock? This is the place to learn. This intense week-long class shows you the basics of what it takes to be in a rock band. After 5 days of learning songs, participating together, and getting the guitar kick down, this class will perform live to really give the students a feel for practicing and performing. Limit 5. Schedule: June 22-26 2pm-5pm Performance: June 28th 7pm Teachers: Matt Benham, Erin Rubin Cost: $300 *This is available for adults on Friday evenings!

Advanced Rock Band: For the more cultured rocker, WSMA offers this class as an eight-week program that culminates into a live performance. Meeting once a week, the students will get a feel for what it takes inside and outside of band practice to be a successful band. Prerequisite: 1 year experience on instrument Schedule: Thursday's at 7:30-9 starting July 2- Aug 20 Performance: Aug 30 at 7pm Teachers: Matt Benham, Jon Wooster Cost: $275

Song Writing: This new class was presented to WSMA by a song writer looking to help shatter the mysteries of song writing. This class is a great way to take your musicianship to the next level of creativity. Whether you're new to writing or just have writer's block, this is a wonderful class to reinvigorate your creative side. Schedule: Wed's at 7:30-9pm from July 1-Aug 19 Performance: Aug 30th 7pm Teacher: Peter Fedofsky Cost: $175
