Whether you are a beginner, a regular player, or in
need of a refresher. We have a teacher that can help
you get where you want to go. We offer a variety of
private instrumental and vocal lessons, and Summer
group lessons as well.

Summer Class Information

1. Beginning Rock Band is a place for your child to learn music in a group setting with their peers. Students will spend time working out songs using guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals. Students will learn cooperative creativity, performance style and how to rock! We are offering 2 beginning rock bands that will meet everyday for a week and will culminate in a performance at the end of the week.

The cost of this class is $300. Limit 6 students per band.

Beg. Rock 1 meets Mon-Fri June 24-June 28 from 1pm-4pm.
Beg. Rock 2 meets Mon-Fri June 24-June 28 from 5pm-8pm

Both will perform on Sat. June 29th in the evening.

2. Intermediate Rock Band is designed for the more experienced rocker. In this class, the teachers step it up a notch and will meet with the students once a week throughout July and August practicing several songs and preparing for a performance at the end of the summer. Students will get the feeling of being in a real rock band meeting once a week as most bands do and gain skills to apply on their own band someday. This class is audition only. The cost of this class is $300. Limit 6.

Inter. Rock Band weekly meeting day/time will be determined after enrollment.

3. Girl Band is a band for girls who want to rock! In this all-girl class, we will be exploring many instruments, cover songs and original material. This class is for the serious musician and is also audition only. Please contact Katie Voss at 234-2690 to set up an audition.

The cost of this class is $300. Limit 6.

Girl Band will meet Mon-Fri June 24-June28 from 9am-12pm.

There will be a performance on Sat. June 29th in the evening.

4. Beginning Guitar Class is for the guitar player youve always wanted to be. In this all ages class, you and/or your child will learn guitar fundamentals and get a real taste for the instrument to see if its right for you.

The cost of this class is $95. Limit 8.

5. Beginning Piano Class also takes on all ages and will let you and/or your child try out the piano in a fun and exciting way. If youve always wanted to play the piano, but want to try it out before you commit to lessons, this is the perfect class for you.

The cost of this class is $95. Limit 8.

6. Intro to Improv Class is for student musicians who are interested in exploring whats off the page. This class is open to all ages and instruments and will give you and/or your child an introduction to this unique and exciting way of playing. If you love jazz, blues, or just want to learn a creative way to express yourself, take this class!

Prerequisite: One year of private instruction on your instrument.

The cost of this class is $200. Limit 8.

Intro to Improv meets Mon-Fri August 26-August 30 from 5pm-7pm.

7. Intro to Music is a super fun way to get your young child acquainted with music and occupy their time in a productive way.

This class invites all you youngsters ages 4-6 to come play games, learn rhythm, sing and have a blast learning music.

The cost of this class is $300. Limit 10.

For every program offered above, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required due by April 30, 2008. This deposit secures your spot and will go toward your respective class. Full tuition for all June classes and Intermediate Rock Band are due May 30, 2008. Full tuition for all August classes is due June 30, 2008. Please make checks payable to West Side Music Academy.
