West Side Music Academy

Aaron Jenkins, our woodwinds guru, has been playing saxophone for coming up on 20 years. He got his degree in Jazz Studies from UW in 2005 and has had the opportunity to study with many great musicians from around the country. Some of those names include: Walt Weiskopf, Vern Sielert, Michael Brockman, and Marc Seales. Aaron has been teaching in Seattle and Tacoma for seven years. He has also participated as a counselor and teacher in some of the area’s best summer music programs, including Camp Burton as well as the Seattle Youth Jazz Ensemble. When not teaching Aaron spends much of his time composing and playing with several bands in the greater Seattle area.
