West Side Music Academy

Birch Pereira teaches bass, guitar, piano and music theory to private students of all skill levels. In addition to the basics of learning the instrument, Birch’s lessons focus on how to play or improvise tastefully within any type of music ensemble. As a member of six local bands, Birch has recorded on ten albums in the last two years in a wide variety of styles (R&B, Jazz, Salsa, Hip Hop, and West African High life). He is on call for multiple bands/solo artists to play in nightclubs, private events and recording projects. Birch also works with the Roosevelt High School Jazz Program and the Issaquah Village Theater.
